Subaru BRZ achieved podium finish in the WDC AM category at the First Series of the Indonesia Drift Series 2024

Jakarta, February 17, 2024 – Today marks the debut of the Subaru BRZ as the Official Car of the Women Drift Challenge, part of the Indonesia Drift Series 2024. Presenting the PRO, PRO2, and Women Drift Challenge classes, the inaugural series of the Indonesia Drift Series 2024 took place at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2024, at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, with the participation of 58 athletes from Indonesia, Japan, Korea, and Malaysia. Kayes (@ewkharis), a Drifter competing in the Women Drift Challenge from Team Subaru Indonesia, successfully secured the 3rd position in the WDC AM (Amateur) class using a Subaru BRZ M/T. Alongside Kayes, the Subaru Indonesia team competing in the WDC AM class includes Vonzy (@vonnyfelicia), Alyssa Ananta (@alyssaanantaa), Della (@evosdellete), and Notnot (@n.lidiawaty)
Arie Christopher, Chief Executive Officer of Subaru Indonesia, stated, “Subaru Indonesia's support for the Indonesia Drift Series and Women Drift Challenge conveys the message of inclusion and women empowerment. Through vehicles like the Subaru BRZ, anyone can compete in Motorsport activities such as the Indonesia Drift Series 2024 championship, regardless of age or gender, reflecting the spirit of 'Anyone can Drift with Enjoyment and Peace of Mind.' An example is Kayes' podium achievement in the WDC AM class at today's inaugural series of the Indonesia Drift Series, using a 'Stock' vehicle, and the use of the Subaru BRZ by PRO Drifter, Ziko Harnadi, from Garasi Drift for the BRZIKO project.”
