Support the progress of the Drift world in the homeland, Subaru Indonesia introduces the Subaru Garasi Drift Team 2025!

Dec 02, 2024

Tangerang, November 28, 2024 – Subaru Indonesia continues to strengthen its commitment to developing the motorsport scene in the country by actively participating in the Indonesia Drift Series (IDS) and launching teams in the PRO and PRO 2 classes. As a popular 4-wheel motorsport in Indonesia, Subaru has consistently been present for two consecutive years. This aligns with Subaru's vision to support national motorsports and young, talented athletes. Today, Subaru Indonesia proudly introduces the Subaru Garasi Drift Team 2025, a drift team consisting of accomplished drifters: Ziko Harnadi, Dipo Dwiki, and Farrel Rafellyno.

Arie Christopher, CEO of Subaru Indonesia, said, "Motorsport has always been part of Subaru's DNA, and we are proud to bring this spirit to the national stage through the Subaru Garasi Drift Team. Subaru Indonesia’s participation in this event is proof of our commitment to bringing innovation and the best performance to the local automotive community, especially with the introduction of the Subaru Garasi Drift Team 2025, which consists of PRO class drift athletes Ziko Harnadi and Dipo Dwiki, and PRO 2 class drift athlete Farrel Rafellyno. We believe this step will support young motorsport talents in creating new momentum for the drifting world in Indonesia and bring honor to the nation at international Drift events. Especially with two International Drift events that will be held in Indonesia in 2025."

Akbar Rais, Founder of Indonesia Drift Series, said, "The durability of the Subaru BRZ has proven itself in this year’s Indonesia Drift Series. The BRZ's performance on the track not only highlights Subaru's technical superiority but also provides drifters with more confidence to push their limits, as seen in Ziko Harnadi's success as the Overall Champion of D1GP South East Asia 2024. With this achievement, Ziko earned his D1GP License and the opportunity to compete in D1GP Odaiba alongside legendary Japanese drifters, a major milestone in his career and a source of pride for the local drifting community. The presence of the Subaru Garasi Drift Team 2025 further solidifies Subaru Indonesia's commitment to supporting motorsport and local talent to excel on a global level. We believe that next year, IDS will be even more vibrant with international events like the Drift Grand Prix Series (D1GP) South East Asia and South East Asia Drift Series (SEADS) Formula Drift, along with support from APMs like Subaru Indonesia, which are working to advance the motorsport industry in the country."

Subaru Garasi Drift Team 2025: A Collaboration of Talent and Technology!

In the Motorsport sector, Subaru has been part of the Indonesia Drift Series 2024. The Subaru BRZ has demonstrated its superiority in terms of balance and durability, both in the Women Drift Challenge class with the stock Subaru BRZ and in the PRO class with BRZIKO.
